Lured into the countryside under the promise that a powerful beast will wipe away half his debt, Shisan and the gang find an apparently haunted, empty house where the boss's men suddenly turn on him. Surrounded by zombified hunters and a towering mound of corpses, Shisan is overwhelmed by a crimson claw — the setup reveals he was led into a trap to be consumed by the very 'zombie demon' he hunted.

As he lies bloodied, the looming gluttony demon briefly appears to devour the rat demon; an old boss calls with a new job offer.

Makima tests a dangerous middle path, reaching into the memory mass as footsteps and a slammed door promise an immediate, bloody decision about who will name the world.
